Electrolux Food Heroes

Today we’re so excited to re-launch Food Heroes, a new program aiming to encourage sustainable eating habits in children created on the Replate.com platform for the Electrolux Food Foundation.

This colorful and engaging site featuring work from renowned illustrator Henrietta Nyvang, provides access to an open source tool kit that empowers adults to lead workshops teaching children how to develop sustainable habits around food.

-The continued evolution of our close partnership with the Electrolux Food Foundation is a true privilege and something we’re very passionate about as we get to use our design skills to create transformative products aimed at reducing the negative impact we’re having on the planet. Doing this work takes us closer towards manifesting the preferable future where our food practices are sustainable, and are inspiring new habits we know that in the next generation is integral to fight climate change, says Elin Ankerblad Co-Founder & Managing Director, EY Doberman Sweden.

-We would like to thank all parties involved in renewing our toolkit. It looks really beautiful and with added interactive elements it has never been easier for more people to be engaged in Food Heroes, says Ingrid Mellstig Head of Electrolux Food Foundation.

This Food Heroes Toolkit was produced by the Electrolux Food Foundation using knowledge from 1000’s of in-person workshops with children around the world, and in partnership with Worldchefs - World Association of Chefs' Societies , and  AIESEC the world’s largest youth-led organization. Whether you are a parent, teacher or professional chef, you can use the toolkit to raise awareness about the relationship between food and the planet among kids.
